Worker Scarcity Issues in Oil Services Coompanies Slowing Rebound
Oil has been stable above the psychological $50-mark in recent months, but that doesn’t seem to be encouraging workers to dip their feet back into the industry. Alberta-based oil services company High Arctic said today worker scarcity is slowing a rebound in oil drilling in the region. The company says rig utilization is still at 30 percent despite renewed interest in drilling because of the unavailability of skilled workers.
